Connect, Etching and Monoprinting workshop by Michael Kempson

A Three day printmaking workshop titled "Connect" held at Bengal Practice Studio from 13th November to 15th November 2018. The workshop was conducted by Michael Kempson who is a Senior Lecturer and Convenor of Printmaking Studies at the University of New South Wales Art & Design in Sydney and facilitated by Rokeya Sultana (Professor. Department of Print Making, Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University). Fahema ahmed, Sanjida kalam Kakoli assisted the tutor.

The theme for this intaglio workshop is Connect. It is an open ended strategy as a starting point for image production that allows artists who incorporate different aesthetic and conceptual approaches to their practice. Depending upon the scope of resources within the studio a range of methods is applied and there is also be an opportunity to explore a monoprinting technique using watercolour.

The Participant artists are Dr. Md. Boni Adam, S M Ehsan, Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Rokonuzzaman, Palash Baran Biswas, Asmita Alam Shammy, Razwanur Bhuiyan, Rashid Amin, Sujit Sarkar, Upama Shirin (Shammi).
