The second solo exhibition of Niamul Bari in Bangladesh, “Momentary Histories” comprises a large body of new, two-dimensional artworks by the artist. Trained in ceramics – a medium the artist continues to work with – Bari has developed an original formal vocabulary. His frequent recourse to techniques of sculpture and ceramic art within the two-dimensionality of the painted work make his artworks instantly recognisable. Born and trained in Bangladesh, Bari currently lives in New York, USA.
