In his first solo exhibition in Bangladesh, Australian-Bangladeshi artist Omar Chowdhury deploys autobiography, narrative and concept to create an ambitious and intricate survey of key moments and controversies in the recent history of Bengal. Working in a diverse range of media the artist presents a rich, alternative language of inquiry into how the past creates the present, and the present re-enacts the past. Lines of reality and fiction are blurred in "Age of Saturn" to ultimately demonstrate how one's own past can merge with history to establish one's present reality.
